This is a bit of chaotic thought that crosses through one's mind so please excuse writing style ...
We find it interesting that the USA is imposing tariffs on numerous countries around the world ...
In perspective, the USA has a population which equates to 4% of the estimated world population. The current US administration is looking to impose tariffs on 12% of the world population (not including tariffs and sanctions already in place). Is this bullying because the USA thinks it is still a superpower in the financial world? If the respective parties said no to exporting to the USA and sold to other countries, the tariffs would be truly ineffective and the US would find itself very alone ... as a bully would when realising that people do not like them and shun them from their day to day life.
One wonders ... if that 12% decided to say "fair enough, we won't trade with the USA as there is still 96% of the world population that would be happy to trade with us" ... what would the outcome be for the "mighty" USA?
If countries chose to move away from the USD as the basis for transactions and moved to a system unaligned with the US, would the implosion of the US economy begin? This is a country that has trillions in debt, a debt that will not be able to be serviced through taxation of its people (roughly $100,000USD payable per citizen, not per taxpayer, PER CITIZEN, to repay the country's debt).
One has to question, what comes next?
